Learning the Tarot is a self-paced series of 19 lessons by Joan Bunning, that begin with the basics and then move gradually into more detailed aspects of the tarot. The lessons are geared toward beginners, but even experienced tarot users will find some useful ideas and techniques there. For each lesson there are also exercises that reinforce the ideas presented.

The only real requirement for the course is a tarot deck. If you don't have a deck yet, Discount New Age Books offers many in its Tarot Deck section. The on-line version of Joan's Learning the Tarot course is illustrated with the popular Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. This is a good deck to start with because there are pictures on every card which helps when you are learning. If you already have a different 78 card deck, you can certainly us it with the course as well.

I have a hard time working with the cards, but I guess lacking that whole opposable thumb thing would make it hard. All well, such is the life of a cat. I'm a pretty good typer though, don't you think? Well, I'm off to lay in the sun. It's a beautiful day here in Connecticut.
