Our New and Improved Web Site is Now Live

Dear Mondazzi Book Patrons,

We are happy to announce that we re-launched our web site on a new and improved shopping cart. The new site has been up for a few days and things are going well.

We now have improved sales statistics which show the top selling items on the home page as well as the top selling items within each category. (Of course it will take a little time before the sales stats on each category get filled in.)

When you view any book or other item you will now see some related items below it… and below that you will see up to 3 of the last items you viewed.

You will now see a running total of items and cost in the top right corner of the screen. Click the View Cart or Checkout buttons to view all the items in your cart.

Got a question? We have a new on site contact form that is connected to your customer account so all messages are in one easy to find location… connected with your order history from this day on.

New Wish List – Want to save an item for later? Just click “Add to Wish List” located next to the Add To Cart button on a products detail page. -Please note that our inventory is subject to change, so if you come back to order an item later, we could be out of stock.

Note to Previous Customers
We imported almost 100% of our customer records from our old cart. You will however need to reset your password. Please go to the My Account page and use the “Forgot Your Password” form to reset your password. You will then be sent an email with a link… click that link to reset your password and you’ll be logged in and ready to shop.

Even if you were not registered (had not entered a password) on the old site, if you made a purchase, your information is in our our new cart and you can set a (new) password.

Whether you have placed a single order with our site or have been shopping with us since our first site in 2000, we thank you for your support. As our webmaster imported the customer records he noticed the over 58 countries we have shipped to. He even made a cool interactive map showing all of them.

Donations in Memory of Buddy and He’s Still Bringing Us Birds

Dear Mondazzi Book Patrons,

As many of you know by now, we lost our warehouse kitty cat and staff member, Buddy Mondazzi, after a courageous battle with cancer. We miss him dearly and know he’s watching over all of us. A special thank you to the 100’s of people who sent condolence messages.

Many of you have asked if donations are being accepted in his honor. This can be done through Buddy’s favorite charity, CT Cat Connection. Donations of Purina Complete Dry Cat Food (Blue Bag) and Friskies canned food are welcome as well. These items can be dropped-off at CT Cat Connection or here at Mondazzi Books. Our address is here. For those not in Connecticut, they accept Paypal donations here on their web site.

Buddy Still Brings Us Birds

Well, even though Buddy has left us on the plane, he is still bringing in the birds from outside. Buddy used to bring in birds unharmed to give to us. Yesterday a bird flew in, made its way to the ceiling and fell down the wall.

Stan, an awesome person, came to the rescue and cut the wall open and freed the bird. It was as easy as I just made it sound, he had to listen for the bird as so not to open all the walls and then not hurt Tweedy with the saw. All ended well and the bird flew away. Thanks Buddy for visiting.

Huge $2 Sale in Memory of Buddy

Dear Mondazzi Book Patrons,

We would like to start off by thanking all of you for your support over the loss of Buddy. Your many messages on our blog, Facebook and by email are so special to all of here at Mondazzi Books. We are still replying to messages every day from our incredible patrons around the world. Buddy was most certainly a special Kitty that touched so many on Earth.

Buddy from above will be our patron Kitty saint sending you our specials. The most popular special we offer is in January… but in his honor, we would like to do this special again now. We have over 800 Books, CD’s and more for just $2 each. This special is scheduled to run through Monday, March 18th.

Buddy Is Watching Over Us Now

It comes with great sadness to share that Buddy Mondazzi, our warehouse kitty cat and staff member has lost his battle with cancer. We all know that he is still here watching over us because I have seen him several times in just a day.

The uplifting story of his final months:

Sarah and Mike, as you may well know, are our two managers that took Buddy into their own homemade Hospice care. Instead of leaving Buddy overnight in the warehouse Mike and Sarah took Buddy home almost every night and on Sundays when we were closed. He would ride on Mike’s lap in his Honda Element to Mike’s house. When Buddy arrived at Mike’s house, Buddy would jump out of the car and walk into his home away from home. On these rides, Buddy brought many smiles to travelers for Buddy would raise his head off Mike’s lap and send a smile to the car next to them. Sarah and Mike are truly Earth Angels.

Buddy has a HUGE global presence from his Blog and pictures on the Internet. If you Google Buddy Mondazzi, you will see so many pages and pictures of our beloved Buddy. We’ve posted more pictures below…

Buddy hanging out in his Bed (with a pet warmer blanket) in the main office was a sight that now reminds us of our loss but also reminds us of the many memories of our Friend.

Buddy Getting His Healing on Crystals

Buddy the Warehouse Family Feline was recently diagnosed with a tumor.

To aid in his healing he, on his own, sits on Crystals we lay out for him. All Prayers and Energy sent his way is much appreciated.
